I'm the opposite way around, and lemme tell you if your trying to make an argument for yourself and you use that you are met by some really colld glares ;D
So looking over posts I've come up with a question.
"Over worked and under paid."
was Frik being serious did Mab actually pay him in something or did he just use the saying?

"Over worked and under paid." was Frik being serious did Mab actually pay him in something or did he just use the saying? well yeah probably why I hesistate to use that phrase. hehehe I think that's the joke. She doesn't pay him anything. So he is truly underpaid. lol I suppose his "payment" is having magic and getting to spy and snoop around and basically be her closest servant. What else could you do for an eternity? But from where I'm standing...it doesn't look like much fun. magic, spying, and snooping might be fun, but getting kicked around by Mab isn't.

LOL, yeah I couldn't see what she could possibly offer him if she'd all ready given him powers, plus he was also her live in servant and when Morgan was alive he also had her home to retreat to. Barr being kicked up and down by Mab occasionally I'd have to say Frik had a not bad life.

I guess I'm not into that servant stuff. I'd be out running around on my own, not playing lackey to someone. Think about it. You're immortal, you don't need to eat, drink, or sleep. The possibilities are endless. With magic, you could go anywhere you want and steal anything you want. Next question: if you were immortal etc. what would you do with your life?

Oh me neither but since it's Mab I s'pose I could make a teeny exception for her.

I dunno, I mean if you have such abilities why even bother with anything because it's like everything is already yours. (this reply is basically showing you how fuckin lazy I am ;D) Example, Mab, (sort of) right say she's trying to take over the world she's got all the above boxes ticked and doesn't turn to thin air at the end. I could not be bothered doing that, I'd be happy taking up a second in command role, planning things etc. But nah the actual ambition to follow through for me is not a strong one. I think I'd be pretty miserable. Im not looking forward to dying, and I wouldn't want to take over the world and live forever, I dont want to have just a normal human life but something greater I lack all drive for it. I think I'd just live to my own doing whatever I want, but for a while because I guess it would get boring pretty soon. What about you?

well I have a million things I would like to do, see, and learn if I had the time. I could change my appearance to match the local populace and live in different cultures and learn different languages. There are many different cultures on earth so that would take awhile to get through. And I could take the time to learn anything I desired. This doesn't have to be all academic stuff either like scuba diving, horseback riding, etc.
I think given enough time I would eventually run out of things to do and be really bored. Then I suppose despair would kick in and I'd wish I could die.
Would Mab ever get bored from simply existing?

well I have a million things I would like to do, see, and learn if I had the time. Aye, there being the flaw, with the amount of time you have what do you do after you've done a million things? I could change my appearance to match the local populace and live in different cultures and learn different languages. There are many different cultures on earth so that would take awhile to get through. And I could take the time to learn anything I desired. This doesn't have to be all academic stuff either like scuba diving, horseback riding, etc.Lmao I find it so funny that your list is stuff like that where as my mindset would be more to live like Faith from Buffy. See, want, take, just to be utterly free. I'd love to say all the good stuff but I couldnt even stick French out for 5 years imagine me with forever, hours, and days, and week, and, years, and decades, and you know where Im going with this wooooooooo! Seriously though Im scared of being buried or cremated but by Mab would I be bored with forever. I think given enough time I would eventually run out of things to do and be really bored. Then I suppose despair would kick in and I'd wish I could die.And had I read this first I wouldnt have bothered to go over my point pffffft well it's there now , I think what Im trying to say above is I'd skip straight into despair. I think Im the kind of girl that with such powers would try to destroy the world with my madness but to be killed by some sort of anti me. (saving the world and finally letting me rest) Would Mab ever get bored from simply existing? No. See there's a difference between me and Mab, (and no your not allowed to say, looks, dresses, or fabulous voice) Mab has purpose, she's a goddess but not just by chance has these powers she genuinely cares for her religion and her people. Where as with me I'd just be fulfilling self want. Nothing I do would be really important in a good way.

Seriously though Im scared of being buried or cremated usually you're dead when they do this so...you won't even know. lol
where as my mindset would be more to live like Faith from Buffy. unfortunately I'm not really familar with buffy. someday I will sit down and watch through it all. so i don't know who faith is. I know who willow, xander, giles, angel, tara, spike, and dawn are, but I don't know who faith is.
but yeah living like a vampire hunter could be pretty cool, but that all depends on if vampires actually exist during your immortal life.

usually you're dead when they do this so...you won't even know. lolOh aren't we clever Lmao I mean I'm scared of waking up in my coffin after being buried for a while, and Im scared that even though Im dead I could feel the flames. know who willow, xander, giles, angel, tara, spike, and dawn are, but I don't know who faith is.Ha! That's actually really funny I haven't seen all the Buffy's either I'm still waiting on my friend to lone me the box set but Faith is from the start of Buffy where as the likes of, Tara and Dawn who are nearer the end I dont really know who they are. ;D Well in short they call Faith, the rogue slayer. but yeah living like a vampire hunter could be pretty cool, but that all depends on if vampires actually exist during your immortal life.I think I would get very corrupt with power as I'd be more interested in teaming up with vampires than fighting them or just not really allying with humans or vamps. Not like evil but just to live without rules, that would rock.

wow Merlin quotes I use them quite often. *think, think* hm I most recently used: "Get on with it!" and "It’s my nature." Such a perfect excuse. I sometimes call my brother Frik, most often unintensional. Yes, he hates me for it. I long to say "I did well when I created you" Once upon a time... about a year ago... a friend of my brother came over. He stayed for dinner. Suddenly he spoke to his carrots- I think it were carrots- "Grow! Grow!" It was unmistakable from where he had this quote. I was shocked! I had never heard of anyone else in Belgium knowing this film. Now I wish I had replied in Mab-voice:"Stop playing with your food, Merlin."

wow Merlin quotes I use them quite often.Ditto *think, think* hm I most recently used: "Get on with it!" and "It’s my nature." Such a perfect excuse.Get on with it I often used when irked. It's in my nature. I actually say that alot in general as it is a damn good bloody excuse, but I cant think who says it in Merlin. I sometimes call my brother Frik, most often unintensional. Yes, he hates me for it.Well your brother is mean I long to say "I did well when I created you"Nah I'd rather walk threw a door and say "I thought I'd come in the traditional way through the door." best line ever. Once upon a time... about a year ago... a friend of my brother came over. He stayed for dinner. Suddenly he spoke to his carrots- I think it were carrots- "Grow! Grow!" It was unmistakable from where he had this quote. I was shocked! I had never heard of anyone else in Belgium knowing this film. chances of him being a Mab fan? lol at the story though I used to have a friend who had a family of toy carrots that she used to play kirby with (kirby is a game where you stand at either side of the road and try to hit the ball of the curb for points if you dont know) ....what? I thought we were discussin carrots. anyhoo yeah Im the same I know one other person who's saw Merlin and I dont like her but yeah perhaps it's cause me and my mates were born in 94 and upwards I mean I know it was on after 98 but not advertised as much Now I wish I had replied in Mab-voice:"Stop playing with your food, Merlin."Would have been class :L bet Mab said that to Merlin.

I'd rather walk threw a door and say "I thought I'd come in the traditional way through the door." best line ever. lol I don't know which line I like best, Mab has so many epic ones. Incidentally I had to descent a slippery stair the other day and I happened to be talking to a gothic young man walking beside me. My day instantly turned brighter. chances of him being a Mab fan? I don't know, probably not. I might get his email address and ask. Yay random carrot story!
