*dips cautious toe into the Jack-board and peers around suspiciously*
Well, seeing as a persistant lack of posting and active new members appears to be allowing this forum to die, I thought it time to creat some new threads. There's quite a few main characters from both of the films who don't have any threads to their name, so I'm determined to create a love/hate thread for all (or at least most) of them so we can share our opinions.
Right, well. On to Jack. Let's all start sharing our opinions.
For my own thoughts, in case you hadn't guessed by my decidedly pessimistic title, and less than enthusiastic beginning, I do not like this character. At all. I loathe him, in fact, would be closer to the truth. The actor cannot act, the character is annoying, pointless and bratty throughout the film. During his arguments with Merlin, for all I dislike Merlin, I found myself roundly siding with him, and thinking "Just turn the little bugger into a frog...". Jack's only redeeming feature was that he wasn't in "Merlin: The Return".
OK, I'm calm again now....

I can hardly remember him (or any of MA for that matter) so he must have been pretty bad. But those of you who are familiar with him have thoroughly convinced me not to refresh my memory. ^^ I remember him reminding me of an annoying hobbit, though.

LOL himiko, Love (why?) LOL Lovely title.
Yeah I agree, Jack was a very foolish, character. He just did things that didn't really make any sense. For example he started out as a thief right then all of a sudden he acts all high and mighty and then he turns into a whiny kid. Now that I think about it I think he acts like that in most of the film. Just a very annoying whiny character. Blech.

Jack seemed very . . . whatistheword . . . vacant? oh hell i don't know. he just seemed to be in his own world alot, not really listening and only half there.

Now if only the half of him that was there had been a half that included neither vocal chords, nor stupid expression, I would have been happy.

Damn, I want to see that film... Anyone know if it's out in the UK?
And yes, Jack thoroughly deserves that fate.
