I didn't like her character. Or the acting behind it either.
AND HER EYEBROWS!
How can Sam Neil be perfectly shaven but she can't have her eyebrows plucked? oO

I saw the same thing...well..I don't know. *shrugs*
Well..still...even if no one likes her...you can still post about her. It's not like she's going to fall off the edge of the earth just because you didn't post about her. Know what I mean, jellybean? XD

Oh, she's alright. I didn't really pay much attention to her character at first, but she started to grow on me later on.
And I definitely don't blame her for the whole Lancelot affair. (no pun intended) She was right and I agreed with what she said - after all, what did Arthut expect after everything he himself had done?

Agreed...
It was a very bold thing to say if you think about it...but I liked Mordred's comment "Good One" after she said that. He did have a point. That has to be one of my favorite lines from him.
And for some strange reason, there was this one scene of laying in bed and she kinda looked like Liv Tyler..almost. Did anyone else see a resemblance?

Yup, he did have a point there (although he was mainly doing his best to annoy Arthur). As did she.
Um, I've no idea, tbh. The only resemblance I could think of - only if I had to - would probably be with Keira Knightly.

Hehe...everyone gang up on Arther day...What a welcoming huh? Ah, but tis such a fun activity! About Guinevere, I have to say, I didn't really feel much for her one way or the other in Merlin at first- I think it was because her character wasn't really developed that well- she and her affair with Lancelot were there to act as a catalyst to events that affected Arthur/Camelot, and therefore, Merlin. In the books she gets more scenes, though, so I developed somewhat more of an opinion on her. TBH, my opinion tends to change a little. On the one hand, I can certainly see her point in what she says to Arthur- he DID run off and leave her, pretty much as soon as they were married, so she didn't really have a chance to get close to him, then she finds out that he had a child he never told her about, and then he is angry with her. But another part of me does get a little pissed of with both her and Lancelot for having an affair- not so much because of Arthur, for the reasons above, more because of Elaine. But then, I can understand Guinevere not being so concerned about a woman she'd never met when she was lonely and falling for Lancelot, so I tend to lie the fault more with Lancelot on that matter.

I agree with Queen_Mab_of_the_Old_Ways
That is exactly how I feel on Guinevere. I hate cheating, that is one thing that really bothers me, but Guinevere did have a "reason". Not saying that condones her actions but still. It is all three of their faults - Lancelot, Guinevere, and Arthur's (for the reasons Q_M_O_T_O_W posted earlier).
Thus since I don't like cheating I can't very much like her character. Lancelot ticked me off more because he was married longer so it isn't like "my spouse left me right after our marriage" thing. Not to mention he also had a son to think of and his wife is sitting at home patiently waiting for him to return. Seriously, how can you just forget your wife and child to have sex with the damn Queen?!
Okay, I'm ranting. LOL I'll shut up now that I've given my two cents.

Oh, btw you can call me Koral because everyone else here does since it's shorter lol. ;D As far as ranting goes though...isn't what this whole thread was anyways? lol

Do you really think there’s anyone to be blamed in this matter? They fell in love, it just happened and they couldn’t ultimately avoid it anymore, despite all the harm it caused. And I’ll agree with Merlin on this one – he did judge them too harshly, because, for one thing, it was not his right to place any judgement on them (or anyone else, btw), and secondly it was Lancelot that would have had to live with the guilt for the rest of his life (I don’t think he needed anyone else to tell him just how much to blame he was in what happened).

Just to throw a dig at the character of Merlin and Anastasia, one of their big obsessions is to "always follow your heart." Wonder how that interacts with the Guinevere/Lancelot bruhaha. Makes Merlin look like even more of a confused hypocrite to me. Rewording of the Merlin/Guinevere scene:
Merlin: You got to knock off this nonsense with Lancelot. People are starting to talk.
Guinevere: Nonsense. Besides, I will just listen to my heart.
Merlin: Think about the nation! Sometimes, we have to ignore our heart. Sometimes the ends justifies the means.
