Soooo, after the discussions in the Mab/Miranda piccy thread, I christen this board with a place to discuss Hallmark's Snow White, and, most specifically, Queen Elspeth, as portrayed by Miranda Richardson. Knock yourselves out!

I recommend it, yes. I love darker takes on fairy tales, and there's easy to understand symbolism, Miranda Richardson, an overall neat feel, and something close to the true version.

Should I watch this movie? I think it's one of the better "Snow White" versions, far less sickeningly sweet than Disney's. I'm not a massive fan of Kristin Kreuk, to be honest, but Miranda does a very good job, and for a fan of hers, she's in it a lot.

I really like the way it's made...just the little things, camera angles, lighting, the actor's lines.....and yes, Miranda is a large part of the entire movie..being the.. SPOILERTHATEVERYONEALREADYKNOWS and all....

Aha! This thread is hard to find! I agree that it’s a nice film and close enough to the story, and I’ve watched it on numerous ocasions. As for other, less sickeningly sweet versions, I would have to mention “Snow White – A Tale of Terror”, which was much darker, I must say. But I really enjoyed it. And it starred Sigourney Weaver and… wait for it, Himiko, wait for it… Sam Neill. DX

LOL! A Sam Neill film that I have not already tripped over?? Could this be one of the signs of the apocalypse?? Sounds interesting, I may have to check that one out.

A tale of terror was interesting, I had fun trying to think of Sam Neill as someone apart from Merlin. The plot was giggleworthy, I liked it. Simply because it was so odd, and didn't really follow...well, anything X3 Buncha randomness, and
SPOILERALERT
........The prince died. How odd....

Heee, yes, I really like that take on the story. The dwarfs were… interesting, too. I found Snow White quite a brat (not annoying, though, to me), and so it was quite easy to root for the Queen, whose name I can’t seem to recall. I know SW was named Lilly. (You’ve got to love how I manage to stray from the main topic…)

It was bizarre, thats for sure. Kinda like Merlins Apprentice, but....easier to follow even if it kinda just did whatever it sporadically decided to do.

... No. It's nothing like MA. I actually enjoyed this movie, so there's no comparison as far as I'm concerned. No way. No.

Gorgeous red hair, her Queen character comes into contact with gnomes yet again lol. These ones bump her off too.
