Besides the fact I really love her name. Did anyone else think the Guinevere/Lancelot story was sweet?

I liked it. It was like this great passion/romance, and it’s really grown on me (the same as the character). The circumstances they were in clearly were terrible, but I’m glad they worked through all that. Rather sweet, I suppose

Yeah and maybe it's because I just genuinely dislike Nimue I don't know but I prefer them to Merlin/Nimue. I always thought Arthur would have saved her at the end though. Still a better out-come I suppose. ;D

While I don’t dislike Nimue (I think I’m pretty indifferent to her), I agree that she and Merlin aren’t one of the best pairings out there. I feel that they’re really lacking chemistry (and I’m not sure whether it’s to do with the characters or the actors – perhaps both). In that respect, Guinevere/Lancelot pwn. *nod*
As for Arthur rescuing her… Arthur came across as having a somewhat weak personality. He didn’t really know what to do – although he was the king, and could ultimately make whatever decision he wanted as his subjects would have had no choice but to obey him, he seemed to faulter a lot in the whole Guinevere issue. On the one hand, he knew it wasn’t really treason, that it wasn’t her fault that he had just left and been away for years; on the other hand, he wanted to the right thing and “uphold the law”, although he was aware it did not apply in this case, which was anything but a black and white case. He yielded, conceeded to condemn her, and although he didn’t want her dead, he didn’t do anything himself to stop it, either. He just turned to Merlin, who is technically the one who saved her from death – along with Lancelot, of course.

Yeah I know what you mean when it came to Mab and Vortigern I could sense tension but with Merlin and Nimue there was nothing. Like you said though I don't know whether it was the characters or the actors. Guinevere/Lancelot had tons they just worked even if it was for a small part.
I agree he was weak I could see he had a good heart but he was so weak. I don't think he made a great King (going by the film) he was controlled by the people around him, he was even prepared to let Guinevere die because his son told him to. I suppose it kind of was Merlin.

Indeed, GL did seem to have good chemistry. What about Lancelot/Elaine, though? *tries to ignore the small screen time these characters got* Yeah… Arthur seemed to want to be a just king, mainly. I guess it’s a complicated task

Yeah. Elaine..........Elaine.......... Is that her that killed herself * is having problems remembering her due to small screen time* Yeah still like the way our fic is going with bringing Mordred back I would have loved to have seen how that panned out. Not because I think Mordred would have made a particularly good king but because well because I wanted Mab to win to be honest. Plus I'm a huge Mab/Mordred. ;D So that has something to do with it.

Well, Elaine didn't kill herself, she "died of a broken heart". Which kinda sucks, tbh. And yes, she really was given very little screen time. Ah, indeed, the fic seems to be going well! I'm also curious to see how it will play out, mainly because I share your wish of wanting Mab to win at the end of the movie.
