I'm watching Merlin's Apprentice, and perhaps it's been said before and I've just not picked up. But I did not know Jack was Merlin and Puddles son. I mean when did that happen? Also that explains why I dislike him so much.

That's one I've never heard - Merlin and Puddles. Yuck. isn't she like his aunt or something? Does mab even get mentioned in it?
Nothing against Sam....but I so can't see him and miranda...doing it. How the hell did they even "find out" Jack was their son?
Merlin: Hey Jack, you know, a couple of years ago, Puddles and I got reeeaaally drunk, and we were both lonely...we miss Mab terribly you know...Puddles can't hold a candle to Mab, not even with dyed hair - anyways, we shagged, and you are kinda the result of that!
I mean ewwwwwwww!

Um I dunno I''m not sure what Mab counts as so it would really go by that. Nope not that I recall. I wasn't against Mab/Merlin so not sure about Puddles/Merlin maybe it's because I can't stick merlin or Puddles so I dunno. Well in the film Jack turns round and says to Brian(a) Merlin he was my father and the lady of the lake (also uses a different name for her) my mother. Another part he says I sent a message to my father to help me find the holy grail and my mother intersepted it. Then Puddles says your father can't reach you from the land of the dead. It's just wrong though it's like Puddles went hey Merlin, Mab helped bumped off your mother and aunt not that I could do anything my self, I know let's bump Mab off and screw so that our son can be someone that no one likes then he'll bump me off.

In the first part, Merlin's looking back in the history of Camelot, for some reason (it's been a while since I watched it), and comes across the history of Jack. First he wonders what kind of person left him alone to fend for himself, and he finds out that Jack's "father" died when Jack was still quite young. Going further back, he then discovers said father found him on a riverbank when he was a baby, and wasn't actually his father. Going FURTHER back, looking for Jack's real parents, he sees a vision of himself sitting asleep in a cave (as he was at the start of the film), and LotL is sitting in front of him saying "He is conceived", explaining that, for her to bear a child, she needed a father that was more magic than man. So, essentially, MAGICAL RAPE TIME! In a nutshell.

Hmm sure they didn't just do what Boris Becker once claimed - that he actually had been the victim of "Samenraub" or sperm theft - that's just hilarious. Yes I recall that scene (I watched this film only once) had been kept quite obscure...

That makes sense. Puddles does hold magic over fluids... oh dear, this topic is growing worse. How does Merlin see himself after this though? I don't remember seeing a great reaction with him. Just a grand booming YOU CAN'T BE HIS MOTHER No surprise at being used or the aunt thing? He is, as you very correctly pointed out, the victim here.
