I have only seen a couple of versions of films, etc. with Arthur in them he is always blonde. (yeah random thing to point out) I've also always got the impression he was supposed to be quite good looking too but to be fair some people do say he never existed.
I personally do think he was real but for some reason to imagine him, blonde, (possibly could be wrong about this) stunning and get landed with being King ridiculously lucky. I don't see how he could get to tick all boxes, but if he was he is one lucky so and so. Thoughts?

I've always thought of Arthur to be blond and handsome, though Mordred to be even more wickedly handsome. =P That's just me.

My thoughts to but well they didn't even have moisturiser then yet he is painted as the real one and only Prince Charming. He sounds to good to be true. Mordred is the same but then again being the suspected son of Prince Charming sort of answers that one.

I think Arthur is always portrayed as blonde because in our western views, the blondes are mostly the good guys. He was this shining saviour of Camelot, bringing peace to a country that was marked by wars for centuries. *eyeroll* I mean, there are portrays of Jesus with blondish hair, and if that guy existed, than for sure he was one thing: not blonde.
Maybe that is also to light the contrast to Mordred, who is on "the dark side" *eyeroll* But it is a little weird, Arthurs mother, father and sister all have dark hair, he is the odd one out.
And what else suprises me. why do all the kids have curly hair?

Oh that's a fair point. Yeah is apt. I'm not sure why I have such a problem imagining he is blonde... I must have hair colour issues Yeah, and if Mordred and Arthur are related that makes everyone barr Arthur, dark haired. Haha! How odd,I don't know so much about his mother but as for his other 'relatives' they all have at least a little darkness in them. And all got dark hair except from good Arthur who got blonde, now I'm sure that isn't how the whole blonde thing is supposed to work in families....right? Mmm well, uh... because they all gave there straightners to Mab? We don't get to see Merlin as a toddler but any other time we see him he has relatively straight hair, a Mab quality? Then in the case of Morgan she has straight hair which goes curly, though I'm sure that part is more a Helena thing Other than that all kids are curly haired. I really dunno why

Yeah, well actually they gave them to Frik to do Mab's hair.
Arthur is the odd one out in so many ways

Well Arthur is not always the blonde naive little boy in other works...
What about SIR Sean Connery in "First Knight"??
I know its an old movie.. but it stars fine actors such as Liam Cunningham, John Gielgud and Richard Gere. Difference is the focus of the story - this one centres around the relationship of Guinivere and Lancelot, and not on Arthur or Mordred (who doesn't even appear in that story)
