Haha. Yeah. I assume that might get one into a heap of trouble. But yes, defying the law in the name of Mab would be gratifying.

Depends when that photo was taken. It used to be open for religious ceremonies, etc, then a few years ago, they prevented that, to preserve the stones. I don't know, you might be able to still get permission to go up to them in special circumstances.

Hmmm, well, it was nice to see, although it would have been much cooler to wander around inside it.
And I still really want to go and see Tintagel Castle- I know they didn't use the real one to film Merlin, so it's not TECHNICALLY a Merlin location (mind you, neither is Stonehenge, LOL), but I'd still love to see it. And it's miles away from anywhere my family visits on holiday. *wails*

Oh woah that would be awesome! Though seeing the one they used for filming would be equally as cool, I must say. . .

Well, I know that the interior bit of Tintagel (including the courtyard) was built specifically for the film down at Pinewood Studios, and whilst I'm not 100% sure, I think the external shots of it are probably CG, which might make the filming one a bit hard to visit, LOL.

Hey, visiting even Pinewood Studios would be nice - I certainly wouldn't complain, even if there wasn't much to recognize, after all this time. *still cannot believe it's been so long since they filmed "Merlin"*

Well, in the current absence of scans of the postcards I found on holiday, I shall simply update the locations in the meantime: I found a postcard of the place I mentioned earlier- the one with the lake where Camelot was situated. Tis called Nant Gwynant, apparently it's near a town called Beddgelert. It's in the Snowdonia National Park, as, it seems, is a goodly part of North Wales, and I'm not 100% sure but I think it might be within sight of the Snowdonia Railway thingy. This was based off combing leaflets and finding similar photos located therein. I also found a postcard of a place I'm pretty sure was used for the Enchanted Lake (most of the Lady of the Lake's scenes). Place is called Cregennen Lakes, near Cader Idris, again in the Snowdonia National Park. Most guttingly, I believe I may have passed it many years ago, and not realised that's where it was- I went on one of these wierd "adventure weeks" with school when I was about 10/11 to a place called Arthog, which is very nearby, and we went on a walk which took us past Cader Idris. Silly, silly me.

If it's a religious function, it would be nigh impossible to arrest them, as long as it was legit.

I've seen several vids on youtube where pagan celebrations of some sort were taking place and they were inside stone henge.
I wonder....they may have it limited somehow perhaps....like would these celebrations be open to anyone claiming to be pagan or would you have to be a member of the specific group that was celebrating in order to get close to the stones?
I might pretend to be pagan just to get close to the stones. lol

I think anyone can go, I've always wanted to go there but it's quite far from me. Yet I am closer than some of you.

I've been inside there ^^ The tide was coming in, though, so just splashed through a little bit of it and then came back out.
