I won an "Event Horizon" DVD a few weeks back, and finally got around to watching it- wondered if anyone else had seen it? For those who are interested, it's basically a horror film in space- a spaceship, designed to leap through space in seconds, disappeared years prior to the film's start when it was supposed to be travelling to Mars, I believe (I could have got that wrong). It's reappeared, and a team of astronauts (lead by Laurence Fishburne, of Matrix fame) are sent to find out what happened to it, and find any survivors, along with the designer of the ship (played by Sam Neill ;D ), who has been suffering from odd dreams. www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=event+horizon is the imdb page. Personally, I enjoyed it, its been a while since I saw a horror film that wasn't a terrible B-movie, watched for lols XD But I admit, I'm rather partial to horror, it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Haven't seen it doubt I ever will as Im freaked out by horror films :L LoL Im a big baby. But I am torn as I really love Jason Isaacs and it'd be cool to see Sam in something else. Decisions, decisions.

Ah, that's fair enough- if you're freaked out by horror films, maybe not the best one to watch, there are quite a few nasty deaths, and eye gouging...

I love that film -
I have been having it on my DVD board for quite a time already. I remember watching it for the first time, when I was much younger.. and it really gave me the creeps.. then I watched it with my even younger sister - and when she screamed out in shock I just watched happily muahahaha.
I really liked this version of an science fiction horror thriller... and Sam was just great: starting off with such an innocence and then becoming as dark as you could think...
