New champions yay!! let me think....
Loki - Just for fun. And I think they'd look nice together. (Common guys what about an Avengers/Crossover ficlet?)
Regina Mills/Evil Queen - for some female power and double hotness.
Eddard Stark - he would die for her, cause he is Sean Bean but anyways...
Sherlock - in an alternate universe, how much could these two annoy each other? Just wondering about rationality clashing the supernatural. ..
Thranduil - same glamour they have and lots of drama promise interesting stories. (Ok if Thrandy is not in for it then perhaps Elrond can take over...)
Mulder - he does believe. (Though Scully is hotter)
Xena - not new. But she would have defended her or hated her like Ares... who knows, but I certainly would have liked to watch 😆

Crap, just remembered I said in the Villains thread that I'd post in here something like a month ago XD Whoops! Sooo, on that theme, based on some of my mentions in the Villains, Antagonists and Anti Heroes thread: Leliana - Dragon Age - I think that this one would sort of depend on a couple of factors. Leliana is devoutly religious, it's one of her defining traits. So if you plucked Leliana, devout Andrastian, out of the Dragon Age universe and just dumped her in front of Mab, I don't think she'd be keen to put aside her religion. She's rather ruthless when it comes to threats, but also remarkably tolerant of other religions, so either Mab could end up with Leliana working against her with hella determination, or Leliana would just decide to politely go her own way. On the other hand, if you had Leliana as the same character but raised as a follower of the Old Ways (or indeed as a convert), there's a lot going for her. Faith, loyalty, ruthlessly committed to her goals. She's a religious reformer, and understands the need for modernisation, and to reach out and appeal to those that her religion has traditionally shunned - a useful attribute in picking up new followers, and a useful counterbalance to an unchanging Queen of the Old Ways who doesn't really understand mortals all that well. She's trained as a courtier (able to move amongst and manipulate the highest and most influential in the kingdom) and builds up an extensive spy network. And she likes hanging out with ravens, so that could come in handy Loghain - Dragon Age - Ah, Loghain... I'm not sure how well this would work, honestly. Loghain has Leliana's ruthlessness, but without Leliana's charm, I suspect. He's also suffering from paranoia regarding his nation being invaded again (he was one of the fighters involved in ridding it of the last occupation, and lost his family to the occupying forces. Seriously, they even killed his dog). On the one hand, this might make him easier for Mab to manipulate/ bargain with - he serves her, in exchange for the power to keep the other nation out of his country forever? And he does command the loyalty of a large number of the common people (he was born a commoner and only raised to the higher ranks of the nobility because of his being a hero of the rebellion). He's a gifted general and tactician, and he's certainly willing to be ruthless - but that paranoia is shown to lead to him doing terrible things, driving many of his people away from him and focussing on entirely the wrong threats. I think Loghain could be a good wartime champion, provided Mab kept him on a reasonably short leash, but peacetime might be a different matter. Plus, he's not much of a courtier - I suspect Mab might end up smiting him for being a little too forthright in his opinions Morrigan - Dragon Age - Like Loghain, I think that Morrigan's bluntness might put her at risk... But she is a gifted sorceress herself, who has grown up around a being of immense power, which might be some help in getting accustomed to Mab! Again, she's quite ruthless and willing to experiment with magic and seek out ancient knowledge that many feel would be better left alone. Unfortunately, she's not the most personable lady - she has a tendency to look down on people and get quite irate with taking time to help people and do random good deeds, which might be a problem when it comes to the "Winning hearts and minds" part of being a champion. Also, I feel like in any interaction, Morrigan is going to be out for herself and her loved ones to an extent. She could well try and take advantage of the position for her own agenda. And for some Trek people: Weyoun - Star Trek DS9- I mentioned this in the VA&AH thread, but Weyoun is in some ways the Space-Frik. A loyal follower, deeply amoral, obsequious to a fault, and with a deeply pleasant exterior. But whilst Frik is shown to be genuinely "good hearted", up to a point, you don't have to scratch the surface of Weyoun very deeply before he comes down on you like a tonne of bricks - provided you're not one of his gods, of course. If he saw Mab as a goddess, he'd probably be a more useful henchman than Frik. He's even got the pointy ears And a resistance to most forms of poison. As I said though, more a servant than a Champion. Gul Dukat - DS9 - Well... I mean, he does have prior form of turning to shady, half forgotten gods in order to advance his own agenda, only to end up as a true believer. It didn't end too well for him though. He has the loyalty of his men, but given that he is basically a Space Nazi with a coat of charm slapped on the top, he has the loathing of pretty much everyone else. Jury's out on whether Mab would kill him for sexually harassing her, or he'd piss off enough people around him that someone else would have him killed, but I'm pretty sure "Inevitable messy ending" will be the result either way. Kira Nerys - DS9 - I mostly just included this because I love Kira Like Leliana, she's deeply religious so that could be a problem. She's also quite a prickly character, particularly early on. But she can certainly fight, and she's got a good head for tactics and not playing fair. I feel like she'd definitely go toe to toe with Mab if she disagreed with her methods or goals, regardless of how likely it would be to get her killed. Q - TNG, DS9, Voyager - Wouldn't work at all And not just because Q might actually be the more powerful of the two of them. He'd probably delight in annoying her, and then she'd never be able to get rid of him and the chaos that follows in his wake. XD Sorry if any of the above doesn't make sense, posting long posts in a hurry is not good for the words...

Is Dragon Age a game?
Sounds familiar and like I should look into it.

Loki would be fun, so would Regina. Lol yes poor Sean Bean would die. :-)
I am very back into Doctor Who again (because of Missy reasons). Now there is someone who can turn a hopelessly lost situation into full out (chaotic but effective) world domination. Can you imagine Michelle Gomez hanging out with queen Mab? It would be hilarious.
Yes for Xena. :-) Thrandy and/or Elrond would be fun! Fabulous glittery elves. The court of light helping out the queen of darkness. Mab wouldn't know whether to cheer or feel belittled.
Mulder, is just a human, I don't care much for him, but as you say he does believe very strongly. So maybe as a silly southsayer or something. I am possitive Mab will get on with Scully.
I fear I don't know Dragon Age, apart from some tumblr posts I have seen.

Is Dragon Age a game? Sounds familiar and like I should look into it. It is indeed. I would definitely recommend it if you're a fan of fantasy games like the Elder Scrolls etc. It's not quite like the Elder Scrolls - it's less open world and more story focussed, but the characters and the interactions are IMO stronger for it. The trappings of Elder Scrolls and other fantasy RPGs are definitely there though - there are different races, different classes (fighters, rogues and mages broadly speaking), you advance your skills and equipment as you get more experience etc. sleepyqueenie - Yess, Missy (though I'm not a fan of the nickname, don't know why she couldn't just go on calling herself The Master - it's not necessarily a gender neutral title, after all - you get a Master's Degree regardless of gender, for example, you don't get a Mistress Degree if you're a woman...) would be a lot of fun I think. And yes, she definitely has the "ability for world domination" credentials...

Master's degree, excellent point! Yep, I was not a fan of Missy's name either. I feared it would be used as an excuse for both fans and the show writers to not take her seriously and be patronising to her. Luckily she held her own very well and the actress who plays her really is brilliant! Missy insists so much on using her new name because she is extremely proud to be a lady. Which is a reason I like. :-) Of course her taking over the world would result in chaos and well I doubt it would be what Mab wants.

Haha, yeah, I sense it all ending with Mab watching Missy skip happily through the smoking ruins of civilisations and inwardly debating whether this classes as her most disastrous champion situation yet Good point on her using the name because she's proud of being a woman. It wasn't really the name itself that I objected to, more that they felt the need to change it because she had become a woman (after all, none of her previous regenerations had felt the need to go by a different name unless they were in disguise) even though it's not necessarily a gender specific title to begin with. It's been established that Time Lords can change gender so it just seemed a bit odd that in the case of her name it was treated as something different and odd. Still, perhaps if it was her first regeneration as a woman, she decided to mark the occasion. I'm interested to see who will play her/his next regeneration, as I think Michelle Gomez has stated that she won't be making a comeback once Steven Moffat and Peter Capaldi bow out at Xmas (which sort of makes sense, the last two showrunners have had "blank slates" to work from too - new Doctors, new companions, new Master). Perhaps a discussion for another thread.

Poor Mab. :-) It was indeed announced that she will be leaving with Capaldi and Moffat, but she also heavily hinted at wanting to return. So yep, it is Doctor Who they do random reappearances and no one ever really dies, sometimes they even come back in double. I would love it if she were to return.

That is true, it's a time travel show after all, if they can bring back John Simm's Master after he died during the last showrunner's run I like to think they would be open to a Missy reappearance.
