You know he deserves an own thread ... Here is to the guy in the background. When a line needs to be said by no one important, there he is! He never ages. He is always there. Amongst Uther's trusted men, then Arthur's and now... Henry the 8's?
I noticed this actor the other day in the Tudors series. He had exactly the type of role he had in Merlin and he still looked and acted the same. I saw him in the Odyssey too- also features Isabella Rossellini-. Where he was again the typical 'Sir Boris' kind of man. After that one of the wizards in the Colour of Magic.
I am telling you he is EVERYWHERE. Especially in fantasy or historical mini series. When there is a group of 'wise men' he is amongst them and when you see him you can bet your life on it that he has a sentence or two.

That's his role in life that boring guy at the back Perhaps Mab cursed him because he picked the wrong side? To be boring forever. Yes despite this being a Sir Boris thread I still turned it back to Mab whats a girl to do

I can see how he was cursed now. Sir Boris was not always the most boring guy in the world. As a matter of fact, he was once the most interesting man in the universe. That all ended on one sad day, fulled by enough mead to keep all the vikings happy for a year, Sir Borris decided to prank the old religion by redecorating Stonehenge with mud and other, similarly awful and fowl smelling pigments. This infuriated Queen Mab who shortly after appeared and cursed Sir Boris to be the most boring man in the universe. Thus ends the tale of the man who forever more will be the butt end of everyone's joke hence forth.

XD Awesome.
I think he'll do well as Mace Tyrell, TBH, in the book he definitely has an air of Sir Boris about him XD
Now they just need to cast some of the rest of the Merlin cast in there XD

It's his face. It makes you want to cringe, but its perfect when you need an unattractive group of old men hovering in the background. It makes your main actors look that much more beautiful lol.

I think it's more the blustering behavior, despite being a fairly inconsequential person as far as the other characters are concerned (Mace Tyrell is the Lord of the Reach, but his mother is generally assumed to hold the real power in the family).
Certainly, he's not a looker, presumably in the show they're going to pretend that his children inherited their mother's looks, as both of them, in both books and TV show, are very good looking.

He's slowly sneaking his way onto ALL OF THE TV SHOWS EVER.
He did at least get to stand up to Evil!Ben Miller in this appearance, though XD

Yes, his quest for world domination has been going on for ages. It hasn't been noticed much so he has every chance of succeeding. Good luck to you, Sir Boris.
