Nay, we're persistant if nothing else. On a different note, a little LotL-shiny:

Oooh, that's lovely, Incapa. Yes, we are ultra-persistant fangirls.

Well, I was on my old computer earlier, playing about with the GIMP, and I made this wallpaper. Enjoy.

I'm also partial to the Lady of the Lake one. It's beautiful.

himiko - may I ask how you did the blending into the background? That is a very pretty trick, and I'd like to steal it.

Ah, well, after I trimmed the two pictures of Merlin and Mab, I went to the main GIMP toolbox, selected "Dialogues", and opened the "Layer" dialogue box. When you select a layer in that box (i.e. in this case, either of the layers containing the pictures of Merlin or Mab), and then move the little "transparency" bar at the top of the page to the left, thus reducing the transparency of the layer- you will then be able to see the background through the layer. How transparent the layer is depends on how far along the bar is.
I haven't explained it very well, I fear, but the GIMP is rather complicated and fries my brain.

No, it's pretty much the same on photobucket... although my attempts usually end up much less prettiful.

Hm. Must search for that transparency-bar.

If you have the layer dialogue box open, it should be at the top of that.
