That's OK. I just randomly discovered it one day- I'm like "ooooh, what does this do... *notices picture getting transparent* ooooooh, cool.... *sits happily shifting transparency for many hours*
*...is not way too easily amused*

Truth be told, I have been actively looking for a way to get, say, text layers transparent for AGES.
Maybe I should get new contact lenses.
And being easily amused is fun. You spend so much more time being amused than sulky people!

It's the effects on Photobucket that have me cooing (or sniggering) at the screen for hours on end...

It's most of the stuff on the GIMP that has me going "Huh?" at the screen for hours on end.

Ah well, aside from GIMP, all I have is Paint Shop 7 and Photoshop 5, which I found wallowing away in a drawer a few days ago, and which confuzzles me to no end.

Well, if I hadn't been pointed toward the wonderful freebie-ish nature of the GIMP, I would still be stuck with only Paint.

Ah well, I guess GIMP is a very good program, even better considering it's ... *gleeful sigh* ... free.

*resurrects the topic* Well, since I've been saying about writing fics that have yet to materialise, and being as I have exams until the 22nd so may not get a lot of ficcy goodness done until then (unless it's Jim or Fred and thus doesn't require me to think of an ending for the story), I felt slightly guilty, and made a wallpaper (after deciding that staring in panic at past questions was not going to make the exam tomorrow go any better). It's Mab/Mordred, and the lyrics are from "Pale Enchantress" by Tristania:

OMG!!! So beautiful! So dark! So... So... *dies before finishing sentance*

*falls on knees*
*worships a) the wallpaper for sheer prettiness, b) himiko for making it and c) Tristantia for making such perfect lyrics for the pairing*
Good luck on your exams. How many do you have? Until the 2nd seems and awfully long time if one is tomorrow already.

I have 5 exams, Incapa- the first one, tomorrow, is a resit of a History exam I did in January. The next four are all in the same week- 18th, 19th, 20th and 22nd June.
*bashes head reapeatedly against wall in pain*
Thanks for the good luck ;D

Ah, thankees. I have returned from my exam-like expeditions, and it wasn't as bad as I'd feared. I managed to string together enough points to manage a decent length essay, anyway, and I think I managed to make them all relevent to the question, so fingers crossed for results day. Now I've just got to wait for the 18th...

*would congratulate you on doing your exam, but has died multiple times whilst staring and drooling at wallpaper* You plain amaze me. This is gorgeous.
