I have seen his last name spelled with one 'L' and other times two 'LL's.
which is it? do we have an autograph or something for verification?

As far as I know, it's spelled with two "l"-s (at least, that's how I've always seen it spelled), but I haven't seen any autographs...
Still, I doubt they would bugger up his name in the movie credits.

Whenever I've seen his name credited in films, etc, I've always seen LL, rather than L. The only time I see the second spelling used is when I see his name typed on messageboards, etc, so I've always just assumed it's a common misspelling, but like Lane I have no autographs to reference. I shall search. wonderfulsamneill.freewebspace.com/- assuming that really is his signature, or at least a copy of it, on the title page, I guess we can take the LL spelling to be the correct one.

Yes, it's spelled with two Ls in the movie credits - in fact, you can see it also under the small picture in the background

;D Did you notice? Actually his real name is "Nigel Neill" - that is what wiki says about this: "He first took to calling himself "Sam", in school in New Zealand where there were other Nigels, and the phrases "a real Nigel" and "Nigel No-mates" were commonly used to refer to a sad loner." I think that is quite interessting... I mean 'Nigel' seems so unfitting, but that is because we are used to 'Sam'. But what if he didn't had it changed?

lol yeah we used to use that phrase here, 'Nigel nae pals' 'Nigelised' haha oh well I didn't know that about his name. I wonder why he didn't go for something a lil more out there like Lady GaGa did.

I didn't know that the name 'Nigel' has such a bad connotation... I do like it somehow, for example in "Crossing Jordan" the Nigel is really cool ... ok he is a little bit like Frik in forensic jurisprudence, but he is a funny character.

Yes though I have to say I know of no one called Nigel, but I also know a "Billy no mates" is popular in England. Never heard of it.

... well not directly going with a name... it is more done by "add-ons" or extra invectives .
And what do you mean.. "no wonder no one likes the Brits" he he do you not like them cause you're Scottish? Well I supose thats understandable looking at the history of your countries ;D ... It is like we Eastern Germans hate the Westerns German and the other way round...

Yeah *clears throat as a comedian once said: "The Welsh hate the English, the Irish hate the English, the Scot's really hate the English and most of the English hate the English"
It sounds like sitting with my family members at Xmas really. I just know that there is alot of hate towards the British due to history and Scotland is saying they want to just be known as the Scot's and not part of Britain. But personally I love the English well they gave me Miranda Richardson and Helena Bonham Carter for a kick off.

Yeah I thought about that... I mean Miranda is at least ONE nice Englisch... eh I remember a Welsh juggler last year on on of our medieval festivals... He asked the watching little kids "Can you tell me where Wales is?" ... So our little 6 year olds in good old G. don't know anything much about Geographics... and one kid just said: "In England!" --- the juggler: "OOOOOOUUUUUTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" His finger pointing to the exit ;D
