Well, about the character origins...

I once read somewhere that

"Morgan le Fey was sent into a convent and never married, and she became a great sorceress"

which is a pretty neat discription if you ask me!

lol - for the origin of Merlins character I'd recomment the "historia Brittonum" of Nennius and the "Vita Merlini" of Geoffrey of Monmouth... and for Mabs character .. well there is Percy Byshe-Shelly, or Shakespeare hi hi
