Why is it called Jim?everyone I asked couldn't remember and I looked and looked for the original post where they started to call it jim and could never find it so I have no idea either. sorry I disappeared for awhile. my laptop has had a total meltdown (its 5 years old) and Im still here in england so it was difficult to figure what to do about it. Basically its a hardware failure and there's no fixing it. I didn't lose any files, but I will have to purchase a new laptop when I return to the states. So until I return home by Christmas I'll be using the school computers here. *crys at her laptopless state* I feel like I've lost my right arm or something cause I'm a computer engineering major and we don't go anywhere without a computer. Typically we duct tape it to our hip. But it'll be ok cause I'm not taking any computer classes while I'm over here. So I don't truly need it even though I think I do.

You've probably told me a hundred times and I was probably to drunk for it to click but why are you in England? Study abroad for one term My university actually owns Harlaxton manor, but it also takes students from other American universites as well and lets them study abroad here too. Some of the professors are British, but most of them are visiting American professors. All of the students are American.
It's great being here. When I'm out and about I'm surrounded by British people, but when I'm at school, which is unfortunately most of the week, I'm surrounded by Americans. So its like a halfway immersion experience.
I studied in Quebec in the past and that was a fuller immersion experience. Most people were french-speaking quebecois and the few who did speak english were from canada and not the united states so yeah...
You don't feel like you've really left home when you're surrounded by your own people most of the time that's all. But this is still the experience of a lifetime.
My other thing is a I really want to develop an excellent English accent, which is difficult when surrounded by Americans most of the week. I can already do a pretty good accent because of all the movies I've watched over and over again. I've been working on it for years. But I haven't done it much because the Brits around here already known I'm American and might think I'm mocking them or something by imitating their speech. What do you think?
If I was surrounded by only Brits then I think it would be easy. I actually started to speak English with a slight french accent when I was living in Quebec. And that I did not plan or even try to do it, it just happened because I was surrounded by their accent night and day.

What do you think?I do English accents all the time so do my mates when we answer the phone or that. I guess it's cos everyone on our tv is English so pretty easy for us. If they've got a problem screw them. Lol they aint Scottish you should be safe. If I was surrounded by only Brits then I think it would be easy. I actually started to speak English with a slight french accent when I was living in Quebec. Ooooooooh sweet, gutted you werent closer to me though or I would av visited I might have been pretty close. I was visiting Edinburgh last weekend. I'll be in Cambridge this weekend.
You like our people? Your crazy lady I think its because I'm not British. We always like what we don't have. I love the accent because it sounds beautiful and exotic or something. If I grew up in Britain I would think nothing of it I'm sure.
Yeah and gradgies at bumping yourself into Mab's thread lmao. lol yeah
I do English accents all the time so do my mates when we answer the phone or that. I guess it's cos everyone on our tv is English so pretty easy for us. If they've got a problem screw them. Lol they aint Scottish you should be safe. Scottish accent harder to do because I haven't heard it as much. If I spent enough time in Edinburgh or the like then maybe...but it would take time.
Funny thing, I have asked a few British people to do an American accent and they always try to do a "deep south" country western type accent. They cannot do the "neutral" american accent that you usually hear on tv, which is my native accent. lmao
Too many accents and languages, chill sweety. You'll give myself a migraine No I won'ttttt! Different languages and accents are beautiful! ;D
I'm a bit busy at the moment, but at some point I will look through Merlin movie again and bring Mab questions back into the conversation.

I might have been pretty close. I was visiting Edinburgh last weekend. I'll be in Cambridge this weekend.damn it, so near yet so far your supposed to drop in it a Glasgow then we can go get a carry out and discuss Mab lol I think its because I'm not British. We always like what we don't have. I love the accent because it sounds beautiful and exotic or something. If I grew up in Britain I would think nothing of it I'm sure.I hate our people barr the likes of actors and family I prefer my Scottish people and it's only a few of them. Scottish accent harder to do because I haven't heard it as much. If I spent enough time in Edinburgh or the like then maybe...but it would take time.Noooooooo you don't want an Edinburgh accent you want a Glasgow or better yet a Strutherhill one. Funny thing, I have asked a few British people to do an American accent and they always try to do a "deep south" country western type accent. They cannot do the "neutral" american accent that you usually hear on tv, which is my native accent. lmaoYeah I think I know the one your speaking of I can sorta do that, between that and the one you here all the ditzy mostly cheerleader girls do in movies. No I won'ttttt! Different languages and accents are beautiful! ;DI can do a Mab lol but I'll give you accents languages suck though. I'm a bit busy at the moment, but at some point I will look through Merlin movie again and bring Mab questions back into the conversation. YAY!, Updated my fic the other day btw. damn it, so near yet so far your supposed to drop in it a Glasgow then we can go get a carry out and discuss Mab lolYeah I won't be anywhere near glasglow now. I'd love to see it one day, but I've already got a million things planned for every weekend so its very unlikely I'll have another chance to skip up to scotland. I will be skipping over to Ireland in a few weeks. I could write a book. "How to do the entire UK in less than 4 months inbetween homework and school and everything else" But I am going to try to go to France right at the end of term as well. They keep telling us not to act like this is the only time we will be in the UK and close to Europe, but it feels like it. It may be years and years before I'm able to return. I just don't know what the future holds. Noooooooo you don't want an Edinburgh accent you want a Glasgow or better yet a Strutherhill one.hehehe I can do a MabI can somewhat do a Mab. It sounds close, but not completely, perfectly like her. ------ Everything here in the UK is just so cool cause everything is ancient. Every castle, cathedrale, town, has thousands of years of history with celtic, roman, anglo-saxon, danes, normans architecture one on top of the other and all over the place. It seems like almost every castle, cathedrale, etc. I visit is usually 5 times older than my entire country. Harlaxton manor, where I'm currently living, is older than my country. It's just mind-blowing how old everything is and how well perserved it is. There's a Roman archway still standing in Lincoln and cars still drive under it. For thousands of years people have walked through that archway and are still doing it. One of the houses in Lincoln had a lump of concrete in his backyard just because it was part of the original roman wall and they didn't want to move it. Everything in the US is brand-new, shiney, sparkly, but very fleeting-feeling to it. There's only a couple hundred years of history behind it while the UK is a gigantic history lesson. So there's my current feelings. ------- oh btw I started using my british accent and one of my professors said I sounded British, but dutch too. Interesting because I don't even know what dutch sounds like. He said he liked it. Just not quite british, a dutch person using a british accent. lol? I guess that's better than sounding like an american doing a british accent. they won't know where I'm from, just that my accent doesn't sound completely right.

I just don't know what the future holds.Well screw it I may as well tell you like I tell everyone else you can come stay with me I'll make a space for you between people in my wardrobe, perhaps next to Mab? I collect people I can somewhat do a Mab. It sounds close, but not completely, perfectly like her.Yeah Im the same as lets face it no one is ever gonna be able to do Mab like Miranda it's just law. ------ Everything here in the UK is just so cool cause everything is ancient. Does that include if its a dream?Have you had Mab dreams before? I certainly have, but unfortunately I forget most of my dreams right when I wake up or later on. I know the dreams are coming from my demented imagination because I have dreamed about having sex with her at least once. But usually its nothing spectacular. I'm usually walking around that river area out in front of her palace (for some reason I really like the look of that water) or we're just talking together. I never know what we're talking about but we're usually talking in most of the dreams. Do you have skype? I dont even know what that is mate :L[b/]
We have to get you up-to-date! It's a voice chat software, one of the best. Haven't you ever seen the news people on TV say they're using Skype to broadcast? Skype includes video conferencing option too. It's completely free for computer-to-computer calls. It used to be free to call ordinary telephones from your computer and I used it back in those days, but now they charge a small membership fee for that luxury. I think it became too popular.
www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/get-skype/
The only other thing you need is a microphone to plug into your computer and you can voice chat for as long as you want for totally free. Just like a telephone except its your computer and its free. The cheapest microphones fall between £5-10.

*hugs £ symbol* Do you know how it easy it is to type that £ symbol now that I'm using a UK keyboard? But the UK keyboard also moves several other symbols to different places compared to the US keyboard. The worst is the @ symbol. @ on a US keyboard is on the 2 number key, but on this UK keyboard its on the ' key. TOtally different place and opposite side of the keyboard and I'm still not used to it.

I thought all key boards were the same barr that one in James Bond how very odd. nope when i was in quebec canada, there were certain keys that had the french accent marks on them instead of the usual keyboard keys for a US keyboard. I've never used one, but japanese keyboard have japanese characters on them instead of english letters. some of the japanese computers cannot even make english letters in any way. while i can type japanese characters using my english keyboard and software. こんいちは! 私はアレクサンドラです。 日本語を話します。
Switching the last position at the very end (for some very weird reason Merlin fades) would Mab have saved him? very interesting question. I think she would unless she knew saving him would mean her own destruction. I think she would always save him unless there was a huge reason not to. Because he is her masterpiece creation. She wouldn't want to sacrifice it unless she had to.
Now how about this, people keep whining that Merlin sucked at magic. But that's the same as saying Mab's creation abilities sucked. She's the one responsible for his existence and he is her masterpiece creation so he can't possibly suck.
I dont think proboard forums support japanese characters very well. its turning some of them into numbers.

こんいちは! 私はアレクサン| 89;ラです。 日本語を話します。 I remember someone typing words exactly like that to me . Hey your a smart language person yeah? Hows about you learn my french folio and do it for me ? pleeeeeease Very interesting question. I think she would unless she knew saving him would mean her own destruction. I think she would always save him unless there was a huge reason not to. Because he is her masterpiece creation. She wouldn't want to sacrifice it unless she had to.Interesting yes but grasping at straws for questions YES :L Yeah I did notice that he was still around at the end of the movie your reply to me keeps putting me in mind of that fic on mrap I read. Which was awesome/depressing played Mab with a split personality/played her awesomely and in all a very good read. Now how about this, people keep whining that Merlin sucked at magic. But that's the same as saying Mab's creation abilities sucked. She's the one responsible for his existence and he is her masterpiece creation so he can't possibly suck.I don't think he sucked at magick I just think that he sucked he was total hobo that wouldnt help Mab. *slaps Merlin* Frik on the other hand thought he sucked which explains how Mab is always so pissed off with him ;D I dont think proboard forums support japanese characters very well. its turning some of them into numbers. ssssssssssssssh kid on there words. ---------------- Merlin was still alive in the end. How is that even possible Mab created Merlin yeah? And everything else Mab done began to fade (sort of like Nimue's cave) during the end. What's up with that he should clearly have faded to. Which also would have made for a better ending. As it is said happy endings are just unfinished stories.

Which also would have made for a better ending. As it is said happy endings are just unfinished storihe's half-human that's why he didn't die. tho it is surprising the faery part of him didn't die. half-vampires can go out in the sunlight unlike full-vampires. they may or may not like sunlight, but it has no ill affect on them unlike full bloods because they're still half-human. the closer they are to full-vamps the more full-vamp issues bother them. so merlin was very human I suppose? since very few faery issues bothered him. french foliowhat's a folio? french was my first foreign language I learned, but I'm not a master of it or anything. I love languages and if I was immortal I would learn all the languages in the world. (because then I would have time to learn them all) how many languages do you think mab knows?
