Well you know there are crapy films or shows, mostly low budget - so bad, that again there just bad enough to be good again.. like funny bad. (Like the niveau of RElic Hunter, Xena and Hecules or nowadays Scorpion..yeah.) And then there are films that pretend to be good, have a huge budget and give nothing but shit...

True, true and I must admit university did the same for me. There is an arthurian tumblr page that does groupwatches of often crappy Arthur films over the weekend. I can't often attend as weekends are busy but I do enjoy this.

I started watching an anime Fate:Grand Order, Demonic Babylonian Front. Merlin is in it. :-) Anime is not really my area of expertise. Do you know more anime Merlins? My cousin told me there is also a female Merlin in Seven Deadly Sins. It is interesting to see what can be done with the character.

Sounds interesting! I watch the occasional anime (most recently Puella Magi Madoka Magica, which I really enjoyed), but I've never come across an anime Merlin, I will have to check out one of these!

Sounds interesting! I watch the occasional anime (most recently Puella Magi Madoka Magica, which I really enjoyed), but I've never come across an anime Merlin, I will have to check out one of these! While they don't directly link to Merlin, I enjoy watching the anime where "being forgotten" is a huge issue for the magical creature in question, since that seems like something Mab could totally relate to lol. Being "forgotten" is a huge issue for the main character in Noragami. He's a japanese war god and he WILL disappear if he's forgotten. It's a very real fear he lives with on most days. Kamisama-Kiss is another "god-related" anime. There's no worries of being forgotten, but it does deal with temples and worship and the supernatural world. Other anime: Kara no Kyoukai, Sword Art Online (especially the fairy arc of season 2), Naruto. Because everyone in the Naruto universe that has "chakra" power is descended from the Goddess Kaguya, that's my head-canon equivalent for Mab. In my mind, Mab is the common ancestor of all Naruto characters (and all Harry Potter characters) lol, possibly thru Merlin having children. So whether it's Naruto or Harry Potter, these are Mab's descendants having a go at each other thru the centuries and centuries of successive generations. Inuyasha - huge "fae" vibe to it. While everyone is a "youkai" (demon), they really strongly remind me of the Sidhe. Some are monstrous in form, some are beautiful. Even the beautiful ones can be evil. Mushishi, "hotarubi no mori e" are some more "spiritual" ones. A certain scientific Railgun and its many related series are a lot of fun too because of the crazy variety of magical powers. Yu Yu Hakusho deals with spirits, demons, and magical powers in a similar way to Inuyasha. There are "youkai" (sidhe-like) beings walking around. Witch Hunter Robin is really interesting. As far as I'm concerned Robin is a "thought" wizard since she can set things on fire with just her eyes, no words or gestures required lol. I specialize in magical and vampire anime, so my list is a great place to look for more content: myanimelist.net/animelist/Arwen17?status=2

Belated response, but many thanks for the recs! I think I've seen Noragami floating around on Netflix, might have to check that out! There's also a lot of the Fate anime - apparently Yuki Kajiura (who composed the music for Puella Magi Madoka Magica) also did the music for at least one of the Fate series, so might just start with that one, since I have no idea what order they go in otherwise!
