I'm not sure whether spotting Joel cult members classes as more or less nerdy than trainspotting. Perhaps Merlin uses his hyper-green eyes to do both *attempts to get back on topic. Badly*

I'm not sure Merlin's help would be such a good thing. *is weirded out* And er, admirable attempt!

Admirable here being another way of putting "cringingly bad".
Yes, this is true- also, I'm not sure either trains or the Joel cult existed back in Merlin's time.

Honestly I wouldn't like to say But then there were so many cults and minor religions still floating around in the pre-christian domination days, who knows whether or not there wasnt some variant of the Cult of Joel
Definitely no trains though

This is of course a possibility- although I doubt such cults would wear long brown coats, brown "cowboy" hats and glasses....

i always noticed this about the eyes!
like when young Merlin is saving Nimue with the branch and they go from his eyes (which are reeally blue) to Sam Neil's (which are more hazel kinda green even).
DID NO ONE NOTICE?!

Well, I haven't really meditated on the colour of Merlin's eyes, thb.
I did notice young Merlin's eyes were a very intense shade of blue, which I liked, and as far as the rest of the movie goes, I've always assumed they were blue, although it might not have been that obvious. (I guess it depends on the light, the time of day etc. *shrug*)
They were obviously touched up for the cover, but the colour was ok in the movie.
On another note, even Mab's eye colour went from blue (pretty much throughout the movie) to greenish (mainly the scenes with Vortigern, as far as I remember).

I think a lot of the colour changes within the film could be put down to the lighting of the various scenes. But the young Merlin one, to me, could have used a pair of contact lenses just for that one scene, particularly since both Merlins eyes were such central focus.

ah yes! i remember Mab's eyes changing from blue to green and then gray and back again. and yes it does happen in most of the tent scenes. um, there is even a scene where her nail-color changes.
