*skips into the Morgan thread* Right, by now we should all know the point and purpose of these kinds of threads. All opinions on Morgan Le Fey, please. My opinion: I actually liked Morgan as a child- she seemed rather intelligent, if somewhat spoiled and sulky, and I liked her at first as an adult, with her demands for the throne, etc. However, I thought she became almost too childish and silly later on- she acted rather dim. Mind you, her and Frik were, I think, meant to be the light relief to the darker pair of Mab and Mordred (not that I insinuate shippiness there... honest... ). Her death scene was sweet, although I wasn't hugely distraught at her death. Overall, I think I liked her, but towards the later part of the film, she became less neccessary to the story as a whole, she was sort of sidelined and turned into a rather air-headed comic character, which was bizarre considering how she started off. I liked her, but even so, by the time she died, she had moved so far out of the central focus that I didn't mind very much.

I've gotta admit, I rather like her. She makes me snigger. True she was a bit idiotic, but with Frik and the like in there, Merlin was never gonna be a really serious film, so I think she rather suits the tone. If I was the director I'd scrap the goofiness altogether, but then, I'd scrap many other things too. Like Mab's clothes. Anyway, not to get off-topic...

*snicker* Scrap Mab's clothes, then Mordred's and lock them in the same room (preferably with a bed and hundreds of hidden cameras) *whistles*
But as you said: Not to get off topic here. I also liked Morgan until the point when Mordred grew up. She was very smart and knew what she wanted. She also succeeded to leave Merlin speechless and awkward when they talked. He deserved everything that was coming to him from her.

*snicker* Scrap Mab's clothes, then Mordred's and lock them in the same room (preferably with a bed and hundreds of hidden cameras) *whistles* Instant recipe for disaster! Lots of sulky fangirls grow more and more jealous watching said video footage and eventually storm the place with pitchforks...

lol at cutting out Mab's clothes.
i do like Morgan. she is very 'tounge-in-cheek' funny and she is the perfect antagonist for Mordred. i do like how Mab sorta ignores Morgan up until the time she kills--- i mean 'watches her slip'. typical Mab.

Strangely, she's actually my second favorite, next to Mab. No, please don't put them next to each other. That's disastrous. However, I liked her as a smart girl, and I like her as a conniving airhead too. She's not very ladylike, and I think she dumbed herself down because that's probably how all the pretty women around her were. If they were pretty, they had to be dumb. She's really more..disconnected, than an idiot. Once her part in the plans were over, she just stopped caring, and did what she wanted. That's my theory. I particularly love her simple aggressive devotion to the Old Ways, in the scene at Tintagel. 'Just like you'll have to live with the fact that Mordred..will be king!' Total points for the being rude is being weak line. Helena herself seems to have pulled Morgan off in in original, yet connected way that I adore. The little mannerisms. (ie, her poking at herself in the mirror, making Merlin uncomfortable, and the whole 'beauty is always only an illusion', 'nothing lasts' bias.) Put simply, she's loyal to whatever helps her. Loyal, but not very motivated unless she gets something out of it. ..I have the feeling I've written an essay. This is the most I've said at any point so far.

And we like long posts, Zoicite! They are fun to read. Although admittedly, the longer ones aren't all that fun to write *peers at Nightwish review and rubs shoulders in memory*

Although, we as fangirls do come close. To copy and paste my theory from the Nightwish forum:
Mab fangirls are a rare but hardcore breed. We'll be there after nuclear war wipes out the world's population. Us and the cockroaches. And Mab.

No no, Mab still pwns. Morgan just pwns too.
Mab totally tops. Okay, I said it.
We're all agreed that Mab pwns everything, ever.
That's rule #1 of being a Mabholic.

LOL, feel free.
Ah, yeah, Morgan... *tries to think of something more to add*What did people think of the whole Morgan/Frik pairing? I've read a lot of opinions in various places that thought it was really sweet, anyone share that opinion?
