Our planet is basically in quarantine. We're the only fallen world, they don't need sin spreading to their planets too. We have the "plague". They're not gonna come anywhere near us.Happy thought! I like it. Very poetic and tragic. Though I would say there is the possibility of more fallen worlds out there. Anything can go wrong. We may be “infected” but we still have Mab I wonder if God plans on putting her in his next perfect world. *feeling a bit ashamed for making fanfiction out of religious/philosophical topic* And yeah, my post was kind of pointless and off topic XD Ah, well...The thread has went rogue and evil filled with big bad questions.lol Don’t forget the bright side, we have discovered the meaning of life in this thread! why couldn't you have replied to my simple sarcastic answer with lol like a normal human being you think there are normal people on this board?? *goes searching*

There might be more fallen worlds or there might not. Since the Bible never mentions it, no idea. I'm betting we're the only ones, but I have read an interesting wizard series that took that approach of many different fallen worlds and each choice on each planet was slightly different and caused a very different outcome for each world. I know! I keep thinking if I get to heaven, one of the first things I wanna ask is "God, can you make me a Mab? pretty please? Because that's my version of heaven." why couldn't you have replied to my simple sarcastic answer with lol like a normal human being you think there are normal people on this board?? *goes searching*ditto

If we dont get Mab, and I mean as in the exact one from the film at any of these bloody worlds you have mapped out for us I swear to god I will not be coming back!!!! An exact one as in the film? Wouldn't you like to know what she might have been like before she was ravaged by war? Somehow *to make this more tragic* I think we're seeing what's left of her after many many years of suffering. I think in her prime she was a better person, but still very much an arrogant faery queen lol.

ok this brings back the question, What was Mab like in the old days?
The one scene that comes to mind from the book is the forest fire scene where Mab was burning Roman invaders alive.

A dark, beautiful, cunning Faerie Queen. hmm a bit more relaxed, her moral sense not yet decayed, even more outfits to wear, less secluding herself. With a bigger court and decent subjects. I mean fluttery pixies and a gnome She should have had some proper Sidhe nobility serving her, in the old days. lol she burns Romans?? wait is that the scene with the wicker man I've heard rumours about?

ooo I like it. see these are the kinds of ideas I need for my fanfic "Time means nothing to me" Its hard to think of stuff for the past. You are using me! How Mab of you I will have to read that fic. And I quite agree. She has already lost so much at the beginning of the film it’s hard to imagine what she used to be like -without ruining her character- I will see if I can think of anything else. is that the scene with the wicker man I've heard rumours about?yep yep So what happens exactly? Looks like we’ll all be roomies in heaven Oh hell. lol By definition heaven should be perfect. Yet I can’t imagine a truly perfect place. Also the times I have come across ‘a heaven’ in novels it was a) a very dull place b) hell in disguise.

Yet I can’t imagine a truly perfect place. How can we? We've always lived in an un-perfect world. Its beyond our ability to comprehend perfect. If you imagine the best world you possibly can, heaven will still be a zillion times better than that. 1 Corinthians 2:9 However, as it is written: "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared"--Think if you were trying to explain color to a blind person. This person has been completely blind all their life. It would be impossible to truly explain what color is until they actually saw it for themselves. Can you imagine what it would be like if this person could suddenly see after being blind for so long? I also imagine Wizard of Oz. Dorothy is in her house and the movie is in black and white. Then she finally steps out into Oz and everything is in color for the first time. There are many passages in the Bible that attempt to describe heaven in a way that a mortal mind can somewhat understand. I know a lot of cartoons etc. show everyone floating around the clouds and singing songs and silly stuff like that. But it is a real place, a real world, but beyond anything we've ever experienced. You are using me! How Mab of you I will have to read that fic. And I quite agree. She has already lost so much at the beginning of the film it’s hard to imagine what she used to be like -without ruining her character- I will see if I can think of anything else.*grin* *sigh* Everyone talks about a decent Merlin sequel instead of Merlin's Apprentice. But I would rather have a Merlin prequel. is that the scene with the wicker man I've heard rumours about?yep yep So what happens exactly? There's this place in Mab's land called the "forest of Night". Its only mentioned during this one scene so we don't know much about it, but my impression of it was that its a forest of illusions of memories of the past. For some reason, Merlin experiences this wickerman memory there. We're unsure if it was just coincidence or if Mab deliberately had the forest show him it. But he watches this horrible little scene play out back in the day the Romans begun to invade Britain. Mab still had many warriors and was in charge. She had her people burn some captured roman soldiers inside a wickerman while they were still alive. And she watched them burn with evident satisfaction. Merlin, innocent boy that he is, was horrified by the whole thing and tries to stop the fire, but can't because its just a memory not real. Afterwards he's never able to summon fire without flinching. And there's later some comment about Merlin finally understanding that Mab doesn't understand the idea of having mercy toward one's enemies. She loves her people and fights fiercely for them and savagely loathes anyone else. Personally, at first, I didn't feel much about this scene. I've seen plenty of people burn in movies. But after watching Spartacus (great show!) which has savage Roman paganism all over the place, I came to a better understanding of how violent the world used to be back in those times in general. So now I feel like if I had been Merlin, I would have been just as horrified by those Romans burning. Despite the fact that, for those times, that behavior was perfectly normal.

A perfect place. Yes, very impossible for us to imagine. Just wish we could come up with some better ideas for it than white clouds, singing and eating rice pudding with golden spoons. As you said we are limited by the imperfection in this world. I would like to add our bonds to space and time to that. Since heaven exists out of both. So there wouldn’t actually be any musical instruments or pudding there. The problem is: we can’t think outside of space and time. Though I can imagine it would be chaotic without them, but heaven would be a peaceful place sort of ‘above’ the chaos of it all. Everyone talks about a decent Merlin sequel instead of Merlin's Apprentice. But I would rather have a Merlin prequel. All the same for me, as long as Mab is in it ;D We're unsure if it was just coincidence or if Mab deliberately had the forest show him it. It does sound like something that Mab would take pride in. If it was her intention to show this past event to him she has, once again, neglected to take Merlin’s human sensitivities in account. But he watches this horrible little scene play out back in the day the Romans begun to invade Britain. Mab still had many warriors and was in charge. Yay! She had her people burn some captured roman soldiers inside a wickerman while they were still alive. Wow, she really gave the order? And she watched them burn with evident satisfaction. I understand that she would take pleasure in destroying a possible threat to her religion. Still, unsettling image. Merlin finally understanding that Mab doesn't understand the idea of having mercy toward one's enemies. Yet she lets Merlin live even after he has proclaimed himself her enemy. Horrifying scene indeed! The big questions for me would be: Did Mab invent/give man this wicker man method or did man use it first? And would these Celts also have opposed Roman rule if Mab hadn’t ‘given the order’? I came to a better understanding of how violent the world used to be back in those times in general. So now I feel like if I had been Merlin, I would have been just as horrified by those Romans burning. Despite the fact that, for those times, that behavior was perfectly normal.Well, if it was ‘customary’ to use such cruel methods in those days, why not do it in honour of Mab? PS the wicker man scene got into my dream last night: I dreamt that my little cousins, who absolutely adore me –no kidding-, wanted to sacrifice newborn chicks to my cat in worship of me. They held the small things in their hands as if it were communion wafers. I managed to stop them in time and tried to save the chicks. Though for some reason it abhorred me to touch those small fluffy creatures. And then the chicks died anyway.
