Himiko, Three Fathers is amazing. You put a lot of thought into your stories and never disappoint. Thank you for the prompt examples.
Finally up to date on Cid. Love the developments and am looking forward to seeing how things progress. Himiko and sleepyqueenie, your writing is incredible.

I agree, himiko stories are works of art. I adore yours too, Morgan! Thank you for reading Cid. :-D Should you ever feel like contributing, please do. Even if it is only a few sentences. Your Morgan and Frik especially are amazing.

Here is something I wouldn't know how to write but... Helena from Vivien Vyle ending up in Merlin would be wonderful. They can talk about annoying sisters and babies. Everything would get messed up, I'd love it. Helena is one of my favourites.
It should be a series really of different Miranda Richardson characters visiting Merlin: Queenie, Lady Van Tassel, her roles in Belle or An inspector calls or And then there were none, Madame Giry, Queen of Hearts, Vanessa Bell why not, the witch from the three ravens, Ellie, oh the nun from world without end should also be interesting, her Ab Fab character, the queen from the prince and me, the mother in Wah Wah, the Duchess of Kent, ... whatever genre (comedy, drama, fantasy, historical,...) they are from .... everyone.

You are far too kind, sleepyqueenie. Thank you. With one sentence I fear I would sink the proverbial ship as it were. Best if left untainted. Besides, all I could think to add to it is the "Frik and Morgan have a picnic" scene, and I wouldn't feel good about it. Cid is much too sacred. The drawing below was created for the prompt Humanity, back in June. No matter how many times I tried I couldn't write anything. It was hard to make the pair without much character in terms of features, trying to emulate medieval paintings. Ultimately I failed.

Thanks both for the kind words re. Three Fathers. morgan, don't worry about the fanwork prompt - real life comes first, and you can always come back to these at a later date when things are better. In the meantime, thanks for sharing your lovely picture! I like the mediaeval style you've done it in, and nice job on the outfits, you've really got the details down. sleepyqueenie, haha, this just makes me look forward to your Sir Boris story more! I haven't had the chance to log in here for a while, but I must admit I squeed when I saw your lovely long Cid post! I really liked Mordred's inner narrative, and the way you wrote Mab/Mordred (and regarding the pairing, welcome to the dark side, we have deeply dysfunctional and incredibly creepy cookies ). And the scene with Mordred and Morgan. Just the whole thing. Yeah, I also kind of treasure Mab + Loke scenes - I know that Loke isn't a canon character, but dammit, sometimes I just want to write/ read someone being nice to Mab and her getting to have a friend! Also I also just tried to write a short Cid post and yeah... I cut it off in the end because it had started to turn into a page eating monster... This is just Cid-reality now, abandon hope of short posts all ye who write here

Morgan, all those stars and patterns, I love it! They are so themselves. ^^ Himiko, I squeed when I saw your post and even more as I read it. :-D Actually I was more cheering "Go Mab! Go Mab!". The way you wrote her! Ideal. These conversations, wow. I will eat those incredibly creepy cookies! Yep, Mordred, let's go all in now. I embrace the insanity and lengthiness that is cid! "Terrible fishy wrath" is a new favourite expression now. The descriptions are very cool, Nimue's bleating :-P, Merlin being a bad influence on Loke, tsk, Loke being Loke. There are few things I like as much as Loke and Mab hanging out being caring siblings. I treasure that. "...a natural side effect of having met him" brilliant! Oh and some posts ago that Blackadder quote Loke used on Mordred along the lines of a new experience, being happy to see you, I loved that too.

*blushes* Many thanks! Glad you enjoyed, I'm always a bit uneasy writing Morgan, Frik and Nimue - not that I don't like the characters, I do, I just find them harder to write as I don't tend to write them very often, and I somehow managed to have them all crop up in major roles in this part XD
Also, aaaaaargh, I suck and forgot that we were into a new month for about 5 days XD I have now changed over all my calendars accordingly, and updated the first post! Our new prompt for August is "Life". Maybe a character reflecting on their own life? On the creation of new life? Enjoy, everyone!

I love Frik and Morgan holding hands. You did it, one of the most difficult scenes: Morgan, Frik and Puddles. I am not great at writing them either, especially Nimue. Or Mordred. Yet now I am going hey I am going to include much more Nimue and Mordred just to have fun messing with myself. Truly, we are writing them so well. We are going make them interesting! I think I'll focus a bit on that other enigma, the Lady, next.
You do not suck. I could not do last month's challenge but I am already working on this month's. :-)

This isn't even what I was writing for the challenge,..., here is a new story. www.fanfiction.net/s/13037198/1/Lifenotes: Every pub I ever write somehow gets vibes of my own old uni hangout. Did I sneak Vivia’s name in this, title vampire girl to a book I adore, I did. Only as I am typing this up am I having a Helena de Wend throwing a phone flash. ^^ That was wonderful.

I really like it! Will be interesting to see how the story progresses further in this setting (assuming you plan to continue?) - I want to see modern Mab Weirdly, I was actually just thinking the other week "I wonder what a modern AU of Merlin would look like", so seeing this posted so soon afterwards was a bit spooky! Also, I love your Cid post! Tormented Merlin/ Nimue, tormentING Puddles, cockblocking Loke Ooooh, and the Mountain King coming back into play!

Thank you. I am so happy you like it! I write whatever enters my mind for Cid, it is such a fun patchwork of a story to work with. If there is something you don't find fitting to the plot or anything you want to go a certain way with, let me know. I wanted to provide our evil Lady with some motivation, I succeeded in making myself think of her as "cute". The second chapter, including modern Mab, is now online.

I'm pretty much the same with Cid, I try and go with the flow and see where the story ends up. And YAY, modern Mab And I am behind again with thread updates (and even more behind with fanfic updates... though in my defence I am currently sniffling my way through the back end of a nasty flu so my brain has not been in such creative territory. Not sure what my excuse is for the rest of the time...), so our new prompt for the month is "Lies". Perhaps a look into the consequences of a lie that a character has told/ been told. Or a character considering lying/ deceiving/ concealing something, and their motivations for doing so. As usual, all previous prompts are still open for entries.

You write beautifully! Perfect Cid-ness.
I fear I am terribly behind on challenges. I hope your flu is gone. :-)

Hope you start to feel better soon, Himiko. Best wishes. Interesting story idea, sleepyqueenie. I haven't been able to read it all yet -or even start Cid- but I hope you'll continue to be inspired. A fanfiction.net writer outside the forum, pen name GarlitMirav, posted a story for the challenge back at the end of August. Their work deserves to be shared: www.fanfiction.net/s/13050793/1/Bliss
