I am also so behind with the challenges! Am about to post some Cid, though, to try and make up for it! Loved part 2 of your fic, yay Mab! Also, you managed to make Merlin/LotL much less creepy than the supposedly family-friendly miniseries managed XD
Thanks to both of you, yeah, I'm feeling much better now - a few days of paracetamol, self pity and playing Life is Strange saw me right.
Also, we are now into a new challenge! The prompt for October is "Friends and Enemies" - as before, all other prompts are still open for replies.

Your cid entry is spectacular! Everyone being their snarky best and Loke feels like he has become our beloved main hero. Mab thinking "Shit" is precious. Hurray for her perfect scream! Rockie's awesome human form. :-D And so much more! "Friends and enemies" a gorgeous prompt. Life is Strange, what great taste you have! Thank you so much. Writing that story meant a lot to me. Turns out, I care very much for Puddles and Merlin. Hey morgan, catch up reading whenever is good for you! Thank you for the link! It is a beautiful romantic story. I am glad I got to read it.

Haha, thanks. Yeah, I was intending to write a couple of other sections featuring Merlin and/or Mordred so that the part wasn't so focused around the Elemental Kings, but that didn't end up happening so yeah, more Mab and Loke in this one than I intended XD
When Mab and the Mountain King have their scene together in the actual series, there's this moment where MK is making his big speech about "I will live forever on the edge of dreams" and it's making the rocks roll down the hill around Mab's feet. Mab looks down and there's this sound which I assume is either meant to be a gust of wind or her hissing something under her breath but when I was watching it a few year's ago I thought it sounded a lot like she was saying "Shit" and now I can't unhear it when I watch that scene XD So that sprung to mind when I was writing it.
My brother recommended Life Is Strange to me, I got a bit hooked on it and played it and the prequel. Trying to hold off with LiS 2 until all the episodes are out though.
It was a great story, and I'm glad you wrote it! ^^ And morgan, thanks for sharing that story, it's very sweet, and nice to see more Merlin fanfic authors out there!

It's (just slightly past) that time again!
The new challenge prompt for November is "Journey". Whether it be a physical journey the character takes, or a mental/ emotional one. As before, all other prompts are still open for entries.

Here is a story for the September prompt Friends and Enemies: I'm leaving the obvious subjects to those with more talent.
And I wrote some terrible freeform poetry for August's prompt last week. I ask in advance for forgiveness.

Busy actual life. :-P Just wanted to post a big load of love here! Xxx Haha, I know what you mean! I have a series of random sentences and half finished paragraphs sitting around on my harddrive right now... I'm hoping to get at least a couple of them finished before the end of the year! No worries, the challenges (and Cid) will still be here when you have more time Morgan le Fay - Beautiful! Thanks so much for posting these here. I always wondered what the purpose of Charlotte Church's character was meant to be (possibly just music related since that's what she's known for), but it would have been nice to see Nimue actually interact with some of the people of Avalon (other than that one scene with the Abbott), it lends more weight to her preference to stay in Avalon and her life there. In the film Avalon seems like mostly set dressing. And your poem is lovely, too - a great look at the things Merlin must have wondered about the mother he never knew.

And it's that time again! The challenge for this month (and the last from our list of prompts!) is Winter. Want to write about the character's feelings towards the season? Visit Christmas at the court of Camelot, or see how the Tintagel family celebrates Yule? Go wild!

There is a small deleted scene in the different version of the script which has a young girl singing at Avalon. I'll post it soon. I haven't had the special edition DVD until recently, I gave mine to my neighbor. I need to listen to Steve Barron's commentary again, in case he gave a clue as to where she might have appeared. I know he mentioned her. Will check when able.
Thank you for reading and commenting. You are too kind, Himiko. I hope you'll be able to find the time and inspiration to finish your stories.

Eeee, so many lovely fanworks! Your drawings are beautiful, really love the style of them. Your photo collections/ moodboards are all really fitting for the themes (love how you tied the Tintagel one into your fic!) and I love your fic too. It's kind of cute in a wierdly twisted way, which is how I would probably describe the "family" relationship between those 4 characters in Mordred's childhood before the rifts start to open up in the later scenes, so good job! I can't guarantee I will fulfill my hopes of finishing at least 2 more prompts by year end, but I have filled one! Lies - FF.net/ AO3 - forthcoming Hope you guys all enjoy any celebrations you are partaking in!
