So, we are now into 2019, and with that we have reached the end of our prompt list! Many thanks to all of you who shared your fics, drawings, pictures and videos with us over the last year! It was great to see so many new fanworks cropping up this year! Obviously I don't know how many of us will still be around for the 25th/30th anniversary. But in the meantime, would anyone be interested if we set up a smaller challenge in the meantime? Perhaps we could post a couple of prompts each April, for people to fill in at any point in the year? Or if people would prefer to leave the challenges for now and just do their own thing for a while until the next "big" anniversary, that's fine. I'm going to leave this thread open, for those of us (myself included) who haven't managed to complete some/all of the challenges yet. It'll stay open indefinitely, so any future members are welcome to partake of the challenge too. I hope you all have a brilliant 2019!

Thank you, Himiko. It means a lot.
Looking forward to reading your story Lies. Sorry I haven't had the time to do so yet.
I would be interested in your idea of working with prompts every April. It's a wonderful idea.

I'll take you up on that offer of a hug, sleepyqueenie. Thanks.
Since it's now March should we begin thinking of prompts for April?

Good idea! Does anyone have any ideas for prompts they would like to include? It could be a one word or short phrase prompt, or a more detailed challenge if you'd prefer?
I will have a think and try and come up with a couple of different prompts too.

Morganlefay, hug it is! Come here you. Prompts, well, I don't know yet what I'll be doing. Oh and it was Miranda Richardson's birthday recently! yaaay! I do have ideas: film noir style Merlin, Mab being a criminal mastermind in the shadows. Merlin... in space. Merlin as pirates. Merlin and demons. I am full of silly today. Yes, please do come up with some suggestions himiko.

Thanks, sleepyqueenie.
I've never really participated in prompts other than on here. I saw something on Tumblr the other day that looked interesting, moodboard prompts. Of course there's always song based prompts - I don't know what other people's opinions are on such things. I'm just putting it out there. It matters not. The way I see it, if we write anything - prompt based or not - we're honoring the memory of Merlin.

Haha, I like it - maybe a general AU challenge, and these could be included as examples for people who are looking for more specific ideas, if you don't mind? Morgan le Fay , I hadn't seen moodboard prompts before, but they seem like a fun idea, and it's interesting to see what different people take from the same collection of pictures. I've never actually put a moodboard together myself, but I could try and give it a go, or if you (or anyone else) have one and you want to see what people write from it, go for it! Song prompts sound good too - would that be wanting someone to make a fanvideo to that specific song, or a fanfic based on the lyrics, or just posting the song as a prompt and letting people go wild with it? And yes indeed, if anyone has any non-prompt based plotbunnies lurking around in their heads or hard drives it would be great to see! The more the merrier!

An AU challenge sounds like fun. I vote for it, if everyone else is fine with that option.
Himiko, moodboards are very fun to make. The hardest part is searching through Google for images that fit your needs. Sometimes it can be calming though, if the images are among your interests/likes.
As far as I know from looking at Tumblr posts, song prompts are pretty free to do with as you like. I'm not for certain though.
Thanks for everything, Himiko.

I really love and miss making fanvids but I just don't have the time or tools for it at the moment. My Cid update is... lying somewhere, I need to find those papers again. ^^ Go for it morganlefay! :-D

Do we know what happened to this author? www.fanfiction.net/u/5197003/She had a story called "Rose Tines" www.fanfiction.net/r/13143926/This is the fragment google search remembers: Author: L. Honoria | FanFiction m.fanfiction.net › Erase-Him-in-the-White-Silk 4 · Rose Tines Morgan and Frik visit a forest of crystal. Written for the Chambers of Merlin 20th Anniversary Challenge. July prompt: Magic. Merlin, K, English ...Of course google and waybackmachine don't archive fanfiction.net so I don't have any way of pulling up stories that authors delete. I have no idea if she had other stories or not on her profile. I don't know if she had any links to her stories posted here or not and came back and deleted it. I don't remember if I found a link to her story here or if I stumbled across her story via fanfiction.net directly. I know she sent me a PM about the prompt challenge back in January 2018, so she was clearly reading this forum post, whether she was a forum member or not. She replied via PM in December 2018 to a review I left on her "Rose Tines" which is how I noticed that the story has gone missing when I tried to go reread it. The Merlin fanfic community is so small. Having any story deleted is devastating. EDIT: I take it back, apparently waybackmachine started archiving ff.net in the past 2-3 years at some point. This was definitely NOT true in 2016. So I don't know if ff.net changed their policy about letting them archive it, or if the admin disappeared for awhile and stopped maintaining the inability to archive ff.net. I know the admin has disappeared before and been very spotty. Hence the great rise in popularity of using ao3. So you can currently save a few of her stories to your private library for now using waybackmachine. I looked through them and it's mostly frik/morgan stuff, so if you're a frik/morgan fan, you might want to save them while you can. "Rose Tines" is unfortunately not present when waybackmachine took the snapshot. I specifically went and manually saved my own profiles to waybackmachine today. That way, if anyone murders me and my account gets abandoned and deleted some day from inactivity, or ff.net simply disappears forever from the internet at some point, someone will still have access via waybackmachine LOL. That's how dedicated I am to preserving stuff. The worst thing about the internet is how fleeting data and information is. Like the freaking burning of the Alexandria Library in ancient times with the amount of information that gets deleted and lost forever.

That is Esther, I think her name on here was Friklover, but I am not certain. I'd have to check. I wonder where she went. She is awesome. Her stories are so sweet and beautiful! I printed many of them out. I have sadly no idea where she went.

Thank you, Halewyn, for your kind words. I'm not Friklover but Morgan le Fay.
I deleted the stories because I no longer want to be attached to my old account.

*hugs back*
I will never stop caring about Merlin. I hope my absence does not suggest that. Depression and illness is the cause.
There is in a back room, possibly the cupboard, an idea for the 2019 AU prompt. I wrote part of it ages ago but then I was the same as engulfed by various clouds.
Thank you again for your lovely words. They mean so much.
